Tropical Sagittarius vs Sidereal Scorpio?

Question

I'm a Tropical Sagittarius but a Sidereal Scorpio.

What are the differences?

Is it mainly that Sidereal is based on the actual position of the stars?

Why does Tropical get such a bad rap?

Tropical doesn't get a bad rap.  More astrologers use Tropical than Sidereal!  Sidereal is used by intellectual astrologers who need something to feel superior to The Others.  They want to be "different" and "special".  At least the American ones.

Now if you are talking about Vedic astrology, that is totally different.  A horse of a different color!  Good stuff, that.
