I have direct deposit and it usually gets into my account on Thursday. My bank closed at 300PM on Wednesday due to Tropical Storm Fay. I saw my check stub on my company website, is it not showing because the bank is closed? Does the bank have to be open to process the ACH???

  1. It really depends on their system.  I worked for an investment bank and ACH funds would come in, but people would have to manually input them into the correct account.  If it is a large bank their central office might not be effected.  Try calling their customer service line.

  2. f their processing department is open, yes it will be put in your account. If not, that deposit will be posted to your account before anything comes out.

  3. No, the bank doesn't have to be open for ACH to be credited.  Its pretty much automated.  Unless there have been power outages you should have had your deposit yesterday.  If you normally get it on Thursday it could have simply processed late yesterday.  Check again and make note of the effective date of the deposit.

  4. I also use a credit union in north Florida and their web site states they are closed through tomorrow (Saturday). Usually their closing does effect EFT's being posted as these are still done manually. ♥ ∞
