Tropical Storm Hanna moves ashore at Carolinas

Reuters - 25 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Tropical Storm Hanna sloshed ashore along the U.S. Atlantic Coast between the borders of South and North Carolina early on Saturday, the National Hurricane Centre said.

Hanna was forecast to move rapidly northeast along the East Coast during the weekend, bringing heavy rains and a risk of flash flooding to the mid-Atlantic states and southern New England.

    I'm watching Ike!

  2. No worries!!! Iam in NC, about 50 miles from where storm came ashore, my dad is there in North Mytle Beach, it seems to have fizzled out. Not much wind at all, and not nearly as much rain as I thought! I hope all goes well for the more northern states as well!!

  3. I am in Maryland and it was raining a few hours ago but than it stopped..it is very still outside and  I gather the pressure is dropping you can kind of feel that the storm is on its way.

  4. I used to live in S. Florida and thought I left this c**p behind!

No, I am not ready because I did not know that we got such strong storms here in Northern Virginia.
