for science related essays, the best resources are journals written and reviewed by scientists. you can find these searching Ebscohost or going to the website of the journal. Science and Nature are the two best to look in, and they both have websites that have a lot of articles in them.

If you use wikipedia, don't cite it as a source. that is an instant red flag in a paper. Instead, look at the end of the article in wikipedia and see what sources (if any) that they used, and go to those sources.
