can u tell me the tropical cyclones and storms here in Australia?

r they common and how bad is it?

  1. No due to the weather it is if we are not getting any quite soon, we are having quite bad rain extremely cold no thunder or lighning. we do get cyclones quite bad as well i can remember the one up in Darwin it got flated in terms of speking

  2. tropical cyclones are common in the northern parts of australia and they can be the most violent on earth but it is very sparsely  inhabited so the damage is not so severe and the natural environment recovers very quickly

  4. They don't happen often, but on occasion, mainly affecting the northern and eastern coasts.  The season is officially from November through April.  Most of them remain out to sea, but a few will make a landfall over the northern or eastern coastline of Australia.

  5. I live at the Pilbara Region (North western of Aust) for 2 yrs now. Cyclone comes every year from Nov to Apr. We had one serious in 2007 (the previous serious one was 20+ yrs ago) where 3 people were killed in remote areas & fences, roofs, trees, lamp posts, roads were destroyed.

    This year, we only had heavy rain for a few days. It is not that bad unless the "eye" hits the town.
