I have a feeling Hanna, Ike, and Josephine are gathering together to launch an attack on the U.S. with plenty of high wind, intense rain, and storm surge.

  1. Its possible Josephine may hit us but ist still uncertain.  hanna will most likely hit the carolinas and Ike seems like it will weer off in the bahamas, but hey... you never know it may just hit florida!

    A tropical disturbance developed off the coast of Africa near the end of August. It tracked south of Cape Verde and slowly developed. On September 2 it became Tropical Depression Ten while south-southeast of the southernmost Cape Verde islands. The depression was upgraded to a tropical storm later the same day as it passed to the south of the Cape Verde islands.

    As of 11 a.m. EDT (1500 UTC) September 2, Tropical Storm Josephine is located within 30 nautical miles of 13.2°N 25.3°W, about 125 mi (205 km) south-southwest of the southernmost Cape Verde islands. Maximum sustained winds are 35 knots (40 mph, 65 km/h), with stronger gusts. Minimum central pressure is 1005 mbar (hPa; 29.68 InHg), and the system is moving west at 13 kt (15 mph, 24 km/h).

    Tropical storm-force winds extend out up to 35 mi (55 km) from the center of Josephine.
