Tropical vacation suggestions?

Me, my husband and our 2 year old daughter(at the time of the trip) are planning to take some sort of "tropical vacation" in April. Problem is we don't know where to start and don't have the money to pay a travel agent-not that we'd work with one anyway. We're looking for something all inclusive and family friendly. My husband WILL NOT go to Mexico and doesn't want to take our daughter to Jamaca soo young. Does anyone have any suggestions? We're looking to keep the price around $4,000. Thanks
