Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has revealed he is hopeful of bringing in about three new signings in the few remaining days of the winter transfer window.
After the departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, Coyle is desperate to get in a few new faces. The Trotters will need all the help they can get to help them remain above the relegation zone so they can avoid the drop zone come
end of the season.
The 26-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international was heavily linked with a move away from Bolton Wanderers in the summer transfer window but was convinced to remain with the Trotters. He ended up staying for half of the 2011-2012 season but Coyle could not manage to
retain the player until the end of the term.
Cahill was undoubtedly one of the best players at Bolton Wanderers, solidifying the back four and even scoring goals for his side. However, the player wanted a new challenge and after being linked with London sides http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea,
decided to join the Blues.
Coyle is now eyeing possible replacements and further reinforcements to see the Trotters through the remainder of the season. His first target is MLS side New York Red Bulls defender Tim Reams, with whom an agreement has already been reached.
There is still some time before Reams can join the English Premier League club as the player is awaiting his work permit. 2008-2009 season.
He has been with the New York Red Bulls since 2010 and has made 58 appearances in the league and has even scored one goal. Coyle was hopeful his arrival would give Bolton Wanderer the necessary strengthening to keep them afloat through the remainder of the
term.
Coyle said while speaking to reporters:
“When you lose a player of his quality it could have an adverse effect but when things like that happen it can also bring a group together. I am hoping to have the Tim signed in the next few days.
Apart from him, I am also hoping to add one or two more to take us on to the second half of the season.”
