  1. Natural remedies include warm milk, melatonin, valerian, 5-HTP and others that you can find in a web search for "natural sleep remedies".

  2. relax....are you constantly thinking this whole time or do you have the tv on?? try reading before sleep.

  3. stop drinking caffiene or make sure you eat long before bedtime...

  4. I could be wrong, but I think this has turned into a bad habit, so you have to change what your body and brain are used to doing.  First off, don't nap, don't eat your dinner late, stop drinking tea, coffee, soda or anything else with caffine in it at say 3 p.m.  Get some exercise during the day, but not just before bed.  Make sure your bedroom is very cool.  Clear all the clutter out of your bedroom and use your bedroom for sleeping, not as an office or rec room.  Go out and buy some new bed linens and pillows and be prepared to spend a lot of money--get sheets that are 600, 800 or higher thread count sheets.  Get a nice mattress pad.  Get a nice microfiber blanket and a quilt or comforter.  Turn your mattress.  Lauunder your sheets every week and put your pillows in the dryer every week for about 20 minutes to fluff them up.  Vacuum and dust everything and don't leave your clothes on the floor.  Get a basket for the dirties and hang up or put away the rest.  Have some white noise in the room like a fan or sound machine.  Take a warm shower or bath before bed.  Set a regular bed time.  When you turn off the light switch, turn off the switch for your brain that has those thoughts running through it.  If you want, read before going to sleep, but don't play any games on the computer that could get you worked up, etc.  Have a ritual of saying your prayers or reciting a favorite poem or music lyrics or just meditate--ohmmm, ohmmm as you try to fall asleep.  When the thoughts start creeping in, replace them with your prayers or whatever.  You could look for Cal-Mag on line--it's a calcium, magnesium, vitamin c mixture that helps to regulate your mood and helps you rest.  Worrying doesn't change anything.  Remember that the Lord is always at your side and will see you through anything if you ask for help.

I just looked at your name--that could be part of the problem.  Better put that on a routine, too.

  5. I had the same problem, and my docter put me on Seroquel. it can help with other problems such as depression an bipolar.  But is a great sleep aid w/o those.

  6. Don't watch tv or play video/computer games before bedtime.  Get a nice lampshade to make your room really cozy.  Try reading if it relaxes you.  Put on some classical music, rub some oil massage you can buy from Perfect Potion.  There's a whole lot of variety in there, just ask the saleslady what suits your needs. Or you can try to drink milk as well before you sleep.  Be at peace with yourself, with others and try to accomplish a lot or something during the day.  That will make you go to bed soundly at night.

It all depends, if you are married, well s*x relaxes oneself and sure enough you will feel happy and sleep soundly if satisfied.  You can even ask your partner to massage you with the Perfect Potion oil.
