  1. my advice to you is to just concentrate really hard, dont think about how high or anything but each step as you go through your ollie, pop...slide...and jump...i promise you that if you slow it down in your head and feel your front foot slide up and even out the board you will nail it

  2. This will happen as you start your adventure into skating. Basically - just keep at. It will be hard and painful, but the rewards will come later!

You need to JUMP when you ollie, i see loads of beginners and they don't jump! Also, don't do everything at once. You need to do one thing after the other - Pop, Slide the front foot while jumping, bring up the back foot, land.

You could try popping it harder, this may help.

Just keep trying it - if you have an old deck that's squaring off at the end, then buy a new one. The new grip will grip your shoes better, and it will be much more responsive, making it much easier for you. A new deck will have plenty of 'pop', and it will be springy and lovely =D

  3. Remember, Less Poppy, more JUMPY!!!

that's what my buddy told me when I started.

just start practicing by jumping by first popping the board (basically just put all your weight on your back foot when jumping), then when you achieve that, make sure you're jumping forward slightly

then get the hang of pushing your front foot out to get more height.

  4. i had the same trouble try to stand over the board pop the tale but instead of sliding your foot up jump forwards
