Trouble downloading videos to computer from camcorder?

Question

I have a Samsung DigitalCam SC - D363.

I have the USB cable but lost the CD with the driver and the software. what are my options?

windows couldn't find the driver for me, so i went to samsung's website but they didn't show my model, so i downloaded the driver of a model with a similar number. I guess it didn't work since when i plug my camcorder in, i don't see it under my computer

Try to connect on windows XP  and that may not ask u for driver.

You don't need the software for downloading video.  If you've recorded to the tape you'll need to capture it via firewire rather than USB - if your PC hasn't already got one you'll need to install a firewire card. They're cheap, easy to install and readily available. You'll also need a firewire cable.

If you've recorded MPEG-4 to the card, you can use a card reader.
