Trouble recording with DVR?

I got a new DVR recently and I’m totally lost. I want to record tv programs (timer and also while watching). I read the appropriate sections in the manual, over and over. I have 2 remotes. When I watch a DVD movie, I have to press “input” on my tv remote, then press play on the DVR remote. (just wanted to give a little more information). But I want to record. I have regular tv (not hd or direct tv), and don't have cable.

Hi Tgo,

You can use a splitter and feed your aerial into your TV from one side and you DVR recorder from the other side of the splitter.

You can also feed your antenna into the input on your DVR first then connect a lead from the output of your DVR to your TV.
