Trouble redesigning my room.

Question

i am a teen and my room is pretty small with a big window in it. i have a desk, bed, 2 drawers, and a book shelve. i have no clue where to put what and also i dont know how i can decorate my room so it would look prettier.

is putting my desk (which also has a computer on) right in front of my window safe?

     Seventeen and Cosmo Girl are great teen brands. Also, http://www.vinylwallart.com/ has WAY cute stuff to put on some empty walls or to brighten up a room. Desk lamps are cute. Oh, and of course I love those circular paper lanterns. They come in many colors and are great! It is perfectly safe to put your desk in front of your window. Mine is. You could put your bed in one of the corners of your room, it gives your room a little more space. Clocks are my favorite though. They are cute AND tell you time. How much better can it get? :) Hope that I helped and have a fun time redecorating!!!

I would have to see how your room really looks like in order to picture a good decoration. I say the biggest piece of furniture that you have put it in a spot where there wouldnt be to much attention. If you have two drawers try putting them together, making it look like you have one whole. If they are different colors then put them away from each other.

Put your Computer desk across your bed. I would say its not okay to put it infront of the window.  You never know what could happen. As for your bookshelf- Do you need it?

thats also something i forgot to mention. Before you start moving, look at everything you have and see if you dont need something and take it out.

to decorate it, make sure you can afford the things that you need. Walmart, Target have great products and affordable.

Pick out colors that you like and that flatter your personality.

Like me. I love green.

I have light and dark green pillows on my bed with a creamy like color comforter.

I have a couple of candels in my room. all colors that will match and blend with my room

Creamy Beige, Green and an orangy chanel color. I picked the orangy because its a smooth orange and it pops out. Then i have all my girly stuff.

P.S. Putting the desk with a computer on it near the window is okay, just make sure that if the sun is beaming out of the window, you close the curtains.

Because it is a small room don't decorate it in dark colours because it will make it feel even smaller. Mirrors will make the room feel bigger. I'm not sure about putting your computer in front of your window, it might fall out :S Get some interior design magazines for insperation, good luck :) xx
