I want to install a new security program and I can't until I remove my old one. I tried going to control panel then add or remove programs clicked on the program, then I hit uninstall and it started to uninstall but it got almost done and it stopped and closed. The icon on my desktop was gone but it is still listed in my programs list. I also tried to go directly on the start menu to it and clicked the uninstall option. That time I didn't get a status bar telling me how much has been completed instead it said it was configuring and then it close after 3 minutes. If it helps I have Vista and the program I need to remove is Trend Micro Pc-cillin Security. Please help thanks in advanced.

  1. The tool referenced at the link below should take care of your situation.

    It is called TISSuprt.exe

  2. Go to Revo and download their uninstaller.  It will not only uninstall the program, but all the leftover junk after it's gone.

It will probably find other programs you don't even know you had.  Be careful not to uninstall stuff if you don't know what it is.

  3. use revo uninstaller.

    http://www.revouninstaller.com/

The program is free and compatible with Vista. It removes program in windows completely which means not only it removes the program itself but also the registry strings and other left over information

After you download revo uninstaller, launch it. The process is straight forward. You'll see a list of programs in revo.

Choose the program you want to remove and hit 'Uninstall' on the top. Hit 'yes' to confirm your delete

Choose 'Advanced' removal. Revo will uninstall the program throughout .

                                             Good Luck

  4. Download CCleaner and uninstall stuff from there.

    http://www.ccleaner.com/

  5. you could try a system restore and try to uninstall it again

  6. if u had try all that things i think u have to go to:

My Pc > C: > Programs files (archivos de programas) > and there, u search your file, and erase it !

    :)

  7. sometimes you need to restart your computer for the new configuration to take into effect.
