Trouble renewing IP address, and wireless connection displays "limited or no connectivity" message?

Hi, I've been using a Wireless Internet Connection and it has been working fine, but out of nowhere yesterday it displayed a message that said "Limited or No Connectivity: You might not be able to access the Internet or some network resources. This problem occurred because the network did not assign a network address to the computer." So, I ran the Repair for the connection several times and it says it cannot renew my IP address everytime. So I downloaded the WinSockXP fix, and that did not work. How else can I fix this problem?? Thanks!

when it says "limited or no connectivity" that usually means that your webkey is not right. put in the right one and it should work. if you don't know your webkey, call the manufacturer's of the router you have and they'll be able to help you.

all  you can do is just keep doing repair and if it doesnt work restart the computer or turn it of and then try again it happen alot     good luck

This problem can be caused from a number of different places. To narrow it down, if you have other computers that do not report that message, then it is a problem with that computer wireless card, or wireless key. I would double check to make sure the wireless key is correct. If all of your devices that run off of wireless do not work, then I would narrow it down to the wireless router/access point, but if no computers work, then it is the DHCP server on your main router.

When this happens to me all i do is unplug the wireless router for about 30seconds and plug it back in then it starts working again.

Do you have a cordless phone? If you do, you need to change what channel your wireless router uses.

Unplug your router for a few seconds and plug it back in.  That works sometimes.
