Trouble resting while I sleep?

I have no problem falling asleep but every night I dream. I have these long dreams where i am always doing something physical like searching for something or running errands or helping people move. When I wake up I am so tired like I have been actually doing those things. Does anyone know of a way to turn your mind off before bed. I stay so tired and I just need to rest when I sleep. Thanks

  1. EXERCISE/ EAT RIGHT/ RELAX AND , CLEAR YOUR MIND OF NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AND SLEEP.. YOU SOUND LIKE YOU ARE OVELOADED WITH ANXIETY, THUS NIGHTMARES

Some ideas that may help you sleep better are listed below:

•Go to bed at the same time each day.

•Get up at the same time each day.

    •Get regular exercise each day.

•Keep the temperature in your bedroom comfortable .

•Keep the bedroom quiet when sleeping. •Keep the bedroom dark enough. Use dark blinds or wear an eye mask if needed.

•Use your bed only for sleep and s*x.

    •Take medicines only as directed.

•When you go to bed, relax your muscles, beginning with your feet and working your way up to your head.

There are some things that you should avoid because they may make your insomnia worse:

•Don't exercise just before going to bed.

•Don't engage in stimulating activity just before bed. Examples include playing a competitive game of cards or watching an exciting program on television.

•Avoid caffeine. Remember that caffeine is present in chocolate, as well as regular coffee or tea, and caffeinated sodas.

•Don't read or watch television in bed.

•Don't use alcohol to help you sleep.

•Don't take another person's sleeping pills.

•Don't lie in bed awake for more than half an hour. Instead, get up, do some quiet activity, then return to bed when you are sleepy. Do this as many times in a night as you need.

You will get the best results if you try these things over a period of time. Usually, you'll need two to four weeks to see the best results ( TIPS FROM  AMERICAN ACADEMY OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS

  2. I only know somethings you can try read a book before you go to bed something nice and relaxing this might put your thoughts on to restful things or try meditation there are lots of sites with info on it. hope they help or if they fail see your doctor but try and avoid pills. its a mental thing so it best to work it out in your head.

  3. before you go to sleep try this. it is a deep breathing exercise. first you take a slow deep breathe through your nose to a count of 8, then hold for a count of 4,then release through your mouth to a slow count of 8. repeat until you are feeling relaxed. in this state tell yourself that you are going to get a deep, relaxing sleep. that you are not going to dream about any kind of work but instead will dream about a quiet. peaceful place where there are rolling hills of green, a gurgling stream, sounds of birds, a warm relaxing sun(but not to hot). i know it sounds ridiculous but with practice it does work. if you don't like that scenario find one  of your choosing

that you do like such as the beach. anything that don't require physical labour on your part (such as rock climbing, golfing, etc) got the idea? good luck
