Trouble unfolding Black & Decker Workmate 525. Need help!?

Question

We cannot open our B&D Workmate 525 from the storage position. We pull the lever that shows the unlock position and tug, push, pull, anything we can to try to open this thing and nothing has worked. It has worked before, but we've been working on getting this thing open for a long time. Has anyone had this similar problem, or can do anything to help us out? Please!!!!!
