Question:

Trouble with Freshlook Color Contacts?

I recently found out I needed contacts.

After wearing clear contacts for awhile I decided to switch to color contacts. My eye doctor sold me a box of Freshlook Color Contacts in Turquoise with my prescription.

I was told the box would last me 3 months, but I've been having lots of problems with itching and irritation after wearing them only once. I went to the Freshlooks website and found out the contacts are only suppose to last TWO WEEKS which means the box I was sold would really only last me a month and a half. I'm very disappointed and would like to try to make these work or try another brand.

I was also wearing the color contacts rather infrequently, is it possible they were going bad or expiring?

Are itching and irritation the symptoms of expired contacts?

When I asked the doctor's office they had no clue what the problem was (but they also told me the wrong amount of time the box would last).

What are some good color contact brands?

  1. You are correct, they are supposed to be used for approximately 14 wears.  I have several patients who find them uncomfortable.  Try the Acuvue 2 opaques....
