Trouble with Kenmore Gas Cooktop

Question

While cleaning the cooktop it starting clicking like it was trying to ignite. All the burners are off and I have unplugged the cooktop from the source so the clicking has stopped. I tried plugging it back in and turning the k***s on and the burners work, but it still makes the clicking noise consistently.
