Whenever I alter a picture using photoshop (Adobe photoshop CS2), after the picture is saved it refuses to open with any other programme or to upload to the Internet. Can anyone tell me how to solve this?

  1. I take it you are saving it as a Jpeg and not as Photoshops own file type.

  2. The Q man above me has just about said it all....

When you're happy with your image. Go FILE > SAVE AS and choose JPG from the drop down menu.

  3. As everyone else has mentioned; you're saving it as .psd- Photoshop's native format that saves layers, paths, channels etc along with the image itsself.

You need to save as something else.

For photos, use jpg, for flat images such as logos, use.gif.

  4. That's probably because you saved it in the Photoshop format (.psd). You must save it in .JPEG (preferably), .PNG or any other standard image formats before external programs will read it.

  5. you have to save it as a .jpeg, .gif, or .png
