Trouble with canon camera?

hey!

i have a digital camera: canon IXUS 800 IS and i'm having trouble with transferring images onto my computer. It was working perfectly till a month ago..but now it ain't recognising my camera and says:"Cannot detect camera,retry"..!! grr..

and i can't put my installation CD because my CD drive ain't working..so that needs to be fixed up..

buh anyother way that i can transfer my images onto the computer..! PLZ help!!

  1. Why don't you ensure that the camera is loaded with batteries that are alive.

    Then try to do it onto another computer, a friends perhaps.

    If the problem persists its your comera,. take it to a shop and question them

    If it works then its your computer that is the problem.

  2. try taking out the memory card and putting it into your computer. you dont even need software to get the pictures on the comp.

  3. Use a card reader to transfer your photos directly to your computer. A card reader will allow you to mount your camera media as a removable  drive.

    check out www.supermediastore.com, they have inexpensive card readers.
