I got contacts back in October of 2006 and they were wonderful until October of 2007. In late '07 I began to became sensitive to light, but my doctor told me it was just something contact wearers experience, so I continued to wear them. At the beginning of 2008 I switched from O2 Optix to Acuvue Oasys because of pain I experienced when I took my contacts out. The pain would get so bad that I couldn't hold my eyes open for more than 2-5 minutes throughout the course of a day or two. Now I've taken a break from contacts for 2 weeks and after wearing them today my eyes (basically the right one) is almost as bloodshot as it was before I stopped wearing them for 2 weeks.I've heard of the scratched cornea thing and my eye doctor told me about 2 months ago that even though I had pain they weren't really scratched. What's going on? How can I prevent my eyes from completely rejecting contacts?
