Look well I'm a high school senior and i play football for my school. The position i play is OLB, but the plays my coach runs make me play safety a good majority of the time. I weigh about 181 pounds and i am between 5'9 and 5'11. My problem is that people are simply telling me constantly i wont be able to do anything with football because of my status (181Ibs 5'11). I always thought i could at least make it into college because i had the most tackles my junior year when i played MLB. My school isn't to ginormous like Materdei, or however you spell it, but we're a D-3 school and we play teams like Trubuco, Dominguez, and Warren etc. So i was wondering if there's any hope for me playing football after high school? ( I play varsity)

  1. Yes, if you play saftey, you will get more offers, if you play Linebacker, you will probably get less. This is also really weird because I am in the trinity league, we are one of the teams that do play Mater Dei. I'm over at SM.

  2. i useto play high school football ...you might be a bit under sized for OLB but you got a good size for safety and corner ...Just remember that  speed kills and coaches wanna see physical players ...do that and many doors will open for you ..

  3. nope, give up now. focus on something you might succeed at like working at a nail salon or something

  4. If you drink alot of protein shakes before and after practice you'll get bigger and stronger which will help you alot in your pos. of olb/safety.

  5. depends on the scout and if he sees if you have the talent or not
