I am a lunch monitor for an elementary school. I am with first graders who's life mission seems to be aimed at driving me nuts. They don't listen to me like when I tell them to sit down and I have to repeat myself several times. Can anyone who has experiences with kids give me any advice on what to do and maybe a reward system that I can do with them? I was thinking something with sticker charts.

  1. You should follow an effective classroom management plan through which you can decreases inappropriate and distracting student behaviors. You should include clear classroom procedures, positive reinforcement of desired behaviors, and unambiguous consequences.

To generate  maximum positive results, teachers should decide and implement the  classroom consequences before a problem behavior takes place. All students should be made aware of  the consequences of their actions for rule negation  and these consequences should be practically imposed on consistent basis.
