My younger sister in high school came home today telling me about what happened in her gym class. She had some sort of sprinting events but then experienced some weird symptoms.

She said she couldn't breath properly but then again, she has asthma. But then, she also said that very quickly she:

-had blurry vision

-found it hard to keep balance

-felt suddenly weak

-felt her muscles were really sore and painful

But then after gym class, everything went back to normal (including the sore muscles which are now, feels perfectly fine according to her).

Are these symptoms just part of her asthma, since she couldn't breathe properly? Or did she just overexerted herself?

  1. If she hadn't eaten that day, then yes, this would be normal. One time, I was at track camp, and started sprinting. I started to have the same symptoms and had to go sit down. After I drank a little and sat down, everything was fine, but that day, I hadn't had breakfast. That was why I had gotten sick. :]

  2. If this continues to be a problem she should seek medical help. No one on here is in a position to diagnose her. Just know that these symptoms are not normal.
