Trout Fishing at Lil'red river?

Whats the best way to catch sum trout? what kinda bait? Im Take'n my dad for his birthday and want to catch sum good fish.

I haven't been to this river, but I usually let a worm, spinner or other bait drift down. The best thing to do is go to a fishing store. Even better, go to a local store near the place that you are going to fish!!!
