After Valencia a couple of years ago, I know why Ducati would have Troy helping them out, but Max ? No thanks cry baby.

  1. Hey Wiggy,

have just posted an answer to this on Proc's question, but I can't say I like BIaggi's temperament much, would sure be interesting to see what those two made of it though!

  2. Maybe Troy can help a bit, but he has no experience on the 800's. I still think that Ducati made a huge mistake getting rid of Capriex. Even if they had kept him on to help develop the bike, he would have been finishing ahead of Melandri (and maybe Stoner in Jerez). I think that if Casey doesnt do well in China, his confidence will plummet and it will be hard to get it back. Roll on next weekend!!!!

  3. Hi Wiggysan. I agree with the bending the rules bit. being able to take the bike with another rider sounds like bending the rule to me. considering its just this year that they can only test 2 tracks and the after race sets where everyone is there to see the developement in action. but i think the idea of Baylis & Biaggi is mainly the 2 different riding styles to compensate for Stoners unique ability to ride the Beast.  i think we will see other teams doing this too. as it bends the rule nicely. though im sure this loophole wil be closed very quickly. then it is back to the rider on a superbike to test the tyre and track grip.

Clever men a ducatti for spotting the loop hole in the first place.  this is what prototype racing is all about. seeing what you can get away with.

  4. All rite Wiggy :)

Lets make it simple, I myself don't like Max even a bit, I remembered when he fell out with Honda just because he always complained and complained and talking to the press that Honda just gave him  a sh*t bike, that it is impossible for him to win and there were some occasions that he and Nicky didn't talk at all, Nicky admitted he only talked 3 times a year with Max :P Nicky doesn't like him I think, I remembered when Max ran over Nicky when he came out of his pit box:)

BUT.. we can't close our eyes, that he is a great rider, he IS indeed a fast rider, you can see the prove in WSBK... and even Rossi admitted that. He knew how to develop a bike and he has a technical skill even tough his personality is like sh*t...

I expect Bayliss can do the work to 'help' Marco, Sylvain and Toni, all of them are in trouble, Melandri always stated he is frustating with his real condition, I think he is not ready with Ducati GP8 which is aggressive, rigid in chassis and hard to 'tame'... the bike is 100% different from Honda RCV which is smooth and easy to handle. Livio Suppo also already talked to Biaggi to help the team.

Maybe (in my personal view), if Stoner wins, I do not think Suppo will cry for help from WSBK riders, but Stoner is also having a difficulty with his bike, so in the short words... Ducati is in trouble.

Thx, glad to share with u man :)
