Truck and Taxi Drivers? Stiff neck? neck pain while driving......?

Ok...I am a company driver for 2 years. I drive almost 150 miles a day. and I started to notice my neck is hurting all the time while driving. Do truck drivers and taxi drivers have same problem?

  1. I have heard of this problem with people that drive too much.  You may want to ask a doctor about it.


  2. Adjust your seat...  Sit as comfortably upright as possible.

    Adjust your mirrors...  Don't strain to see out them properly.

    Adjust the air in your air ride seat...  Allow for cushioning on bumpy roads.  Each jolt will travel up your spine to your neck and shoulders.

    Find where you are comfortable, and relax, if that's possible in today's traffic.  150 miles is nothing.  If your neck is hurting with such a short distance, then you are doing something wrong.

  3. Your seat isnt adjusted right. If you have an air ride seat have so that it moves up and down and back and forth slighty asorbing the shock of you moving.

    If your driving a tanker get back tome you may have a problem.

  4. try adjusting your seat, sometimes a subtle change is all that needed
