I'm looking to become a truck driver but I do not have a choffers licensee or a CDL. I understand in order for me to be a driver I need either one. I want to be able to drive a (UPS size truck not a 18 wheeler) and have a standard route. I would like to work a shift like 4am-6:00pm or something like that. Do you have any ideas what companies there are like that? I also need to learn how to drive a stick shift. Do you know any companies that have manual transmission? What would you reccemend a young kid (21) like me to do?What are some good companies to work for good benefits, hours...etcDo I need o go to trucking school? Or can I get by just taking the test.Last Note: I've been toldthat some companies make you get your own sales route. Is it possible I can stay away from that and Just deliver the goods from A to B? or do I have to have to make my own sales?Thanksnick
