Truck passed smog in CA but shop wouldn't issue cert???

Our 1993 F250 truck passed it's smog test but the shop said they wouldn't issue the certificate because the truck has a very good quality but after market catalytic converter. WHY???

  1. Because it's modified from factory specifications which is an automatic fail.  Get an OEM catalytic converter on it, retest and it will pass.
