We have a Ford F150 ' 98' that skips on humid days.

I know that it sounds crazy...but its true.

No one can figure the problem out!

Humid or rainy days, it will skip for the first 10 miles or so and then it straightens up.

  1. It is either the type of tire tread or try lowering the air pressure. That should take care of the problem.

  2. Probably a crack in the distributor cap, allowing moisture in... when it warms up cap expands sealing crack....or you have a bad plug wire..

You can solve all of this for 40-50 bucks....new cap, rotor, and plug wires....

  3. Condensation... Check distributor cap and be sure it is properly sealed.

There can be no moiture in there or it will skip when it is humid or when it has rained.

You may want to replace cap and rotor...I owned a Ford f-250....
