Truck suspension lift kit?

I'm looking to buy a truck, used of course. Its going to be 4wd but my question is does anybody by chance know what make of truck in which the lift kits are maybe a little cheaper and not so outrageous?.. Just looking for a little advice. also it will probably be late 90s truck early 2000's

  1. any 3/4 ton - 8 lug solid axle will lift easier and cheaper i would {if i was you} try to find a front and rear leaf spring truck the kit will be the cheapest and a Chevy will probably be your best bet since parts for chevy trucks are a h**l of a lot cheaper [Example 8in lift for and 87 chevy 2500-$1,335.34/ 6in lift for 87 ford F-250-$1,732.29]


  2. If you want cheap, stay away from anything with independent front suspension.way way too much money. Try a jeep which is a pretty easy lift, any old chevy,ford straight axle are cheap and easy with lift blocks. Dodge dakota might be ok cause you can crank the front torsion bars to get a couple more inches in front.

  4. if you want a cheap lift do a block lift $100ish bucks. suspension $800ish.
