Truck tires?? is a 265/70/16 bigger than a 245/75/16?

i am going to buy new tires and i need to know also how much bigger are they if they are bigger

  1. the truck tires of 265/70/16 are gunna be a little bit bigger and a little bit wider not by much and u wont really notice the differance i personally would go with with the 265s there a much better tire. i resentally did the same thing i went to a 265/70/16


  2. 265 is the height and 70 is the width and 16'' is the size of the tire,So yes the 265/70 /16 is bigger then the 245/75/16 tire's.  Your looking at about 3/4 to 1'' taller and there about 1'' wider.Much better tire to use.

That all depends on how you mean.  the first number indicates the width of the tire, the second number indicates the %age of the height of the tire in relation to the width, and the last number is the size of the wheel that it goes on.  So the first tire is wider, but the tire wall size is roughly the same.

  4. The 265 will be wider than a 245.  To see which one is taller go to:  http://www.tirerack.com  find the tire and it will tell you the diameter as well as the total inches per revolution.
