Truckers Strike April 1 Will you support it?

Question

Last week I posted a blog on another internet site concerning a trucker's strike. I received a huge response. It is scheduled for April 1 which is tomorrow- Tuesday. There are many ways that you can support it. Don't drive, if you have to then put a large red star in your window saying "GAS STRIKE 4/1/08"

avoid any purchases, don't get gas on April 1, 2008. Please tell your friends, relatives and coworkers. Remember, UNITED WE STAND!!! Will you join us???

I would support it. But I have one huge problem. I have to drive 50 miles to school tomorrow and I have to get gas. I have 3 vehicles and none of them has more than 1/8 tank. Can't buy gas until tomorrow - I'm broke and wife gets paid the 1st. I'm an ex trucker so I feel your pain.

I am a freight broker. I stand in-front, behind, and next to the Truck Drivers of America.  Lets us brokers in on this.  If we don't accept or post or book the freight these companies are offering, even those company drives avoiding a strike, cant get brokered loads.

These fine men and women pay my wages, I work for them.  If they cant make money, neither can I.

I think anyone who does not support it should never complain about the price of fuel.

While I am upset as any of you with the outrageous price of gas and oil..... I do not see this as a solution.

It wont impact anyone except those who can do nothing about it.....the little neighborhood gas franchise station owner.... and he is a victim just like the rest of us.

OPEC always has a market......If America does not buy the oil.....China or Japan will...... the big gas companies do not care....if you do not buy they ship to someone else.....they do not get hurt.....ONLY the little station owner gets hit.....maybe run out of business..... but that changes nothing

Politicians do not care.....look 80% of American wants out of Iraq.....but they still keep us there.........90% want the tax cuts permanent......but they took them out of the budget.... Politicians do not care unless they think they might not get elected.....THEN THEY CARE......

The trucker strike......sad to say......will do nothing productive.....no teeth

YA! OF COURSE!!! this plan is brilliant!!! everyone in cleveland is supporting it! everyone here is shutting down their trucks tom!!! my daddy is!! : ) its crazy... but it will make a HUGE impact!!
