1. The length of a conductor affects its resistance.

2. In a wet cell, electrons move from the negative electrode to the positive electrode.

3. Magnetic forces are the weakest at the poles of a magnet.

4. A generator produces electric current by moving a coiled wire through a magnetic field.

5. A wet cell and a generator both produce direct current.

Thanks in advance, 10 points to best answer! [:

  1. 1. True (of course, R=sp.res X length/area)

    2. True

    3. False

    4. True

    5. False

  2. 1 True   3 IDK   4 True  5 True     Number 2 is a funny question. Ostensibly the answer is true but in the case of a car battery the poles are misnamed. If you follow the electron flow a car battery is labeled backwards.

  3. 1. T, more stuff to go thru, more resistance

    2. T, electrons start at the negative terminal and go to positive terminal -  that's why it's caled the negative terminal :)

    3. F, mag field lines are most dense at the poles

    4. T, wire moving across a mag field generate a current

    5. F, generators initialy produce ac currect which can be rectified to make dc current.

  4. 1 yes

    2 yes

    3 no

    4 i think

    5 IDK
