True? Kids are born to replace their parents. What other reason is there?

No. I had a chlid because I believe he has something to offer this world. He's not a replacement for me or my husband because he's not me or my husband. He's an individual with his own thoughts and talents.

No, that's a ridiculous reason to have children. I had them because I love children and wanted my own.....playing with them, sharing special moments, watching them grow, laughing at silly stuff, teaching them the things I feel are important, etc.....I have two boys 8 and 4 and haven't a clue as to what they'll do w/their lives or who they'll be at this point but I love them and will be proud of them.

Well those 2 things are facts. Although they weren't ever ones in my mind when I chose to have kids. There is an abundance of reasons people choose to be parents. What your saying is just one of the givens in having kids.
