True Verdict to dictate the Coolmore Stud European Breeders Fund Sprint Stakes at Naas
The Coolmore Stud European Breeders Fund Sprint Stakes (Listed Race) will be hosted by Naas over six furlongs on Monday, 4th June. Among the line-up of seven two-year-old fillies only one has raced at Naas and that too resulted in a second position.
True Verdict, Danehill Dancer’s two-year-old bay filly out of mare, Foolish Act, started off her career on the sane race course. She scored second in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden on 16th May at Naas over six furlongs.
The race was won by the 7/2 joint favourite, Mironica, who led the runner up, True Verdict, by just half a length. The other joint favourite of the race, Teoirim, ended third on the line-up of twelve.
She has substantial chances of winning the race today, it is over the same distance and this time with jockey, W. J. Lee. There is little rather no excuse for failing to make the most out of the chance. Posting a victory through the second career start should be her focus today.
Another note worthy entry for the race is Sky Lantern, Red Clubs’ two-year-old grey filly out of mare, Shawanni. The Irish filly just started racing and bagged the career debut.
She won the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 24th May at Goodwood over six furlongs. She led the runner up of the race, Cruck Realta, by three and a half lengths.
Settling third on the field of five was Indignant.
She is on the same page as True Verdict, the only difference being that Sky Lantern was successful through the very first try and has the chance of pairing up wins on her fresh unbeaten profile.
An entry most experienced through the new season is Effie B, Sixties Icon’s two-year-old chestnut filly out of mare, Blakeshall Rose. She has raced five times in her debut season.
She claimed the second outing of the career on 21st April in the Ronaldinho’s 60th Summer Celebration Maiden Stakes at Nottingham over five furlongs. She was the 7/4 favourite winner and led the track by an amazing seven lengths.
