  1. Your methodology of giving 10 points to the first person who responds with the simple correct answer, without supporting logic and evidence, is itself illogical and unfair. Why? Because any ignoramous can guess at the true answer with a probability of P=0.5 of being correct.

An explanation, supporting the rationale for the answer should have been a required part of the question, in my humble opinion.

    For example:

If the Null Hypothesis is in fact "proven to be false," through rigorous emperical scientific testing, with large enough samples, repeated and consistent positive results proving the Null Hypothesis to be false; then in fact "no error is commited when the null hypothesis is rejected when it is false." Ref. ****

    Your statement is "true." Q.E.D.

  2. Disproving the null hypothesis is the foundation of the scientific method.  Along with replicability and correlary (sp?) hypotheses the advancement of our medicines and technology is progressing.  Now if we'd all only grow up!

  3. True

  4. true!
