Not always; even though that's the side the education establishment tries to give you, if you have a MIND, beyond just remembering facts, you can think for yourself and decide what you want to be and do.

So-called intellectuals probably do get more liberal, because they get brainwashed into believing all those theories that look good on paper but don't cut it in the real world.

But people who are mature and wise are generally more conservative.

False. Education has nothing to do with it. I believe most of it is how you are raised. Do you see any Kennedy's running for office as a Republican? Any Bush's run as a Democrat?

I believe so. I am a liberal myself. My father was a doctor. I can speak 5 languages, I'm already a college graduate, started an online university and another public one new last year, I study feminism, philosophy and religion as a science, am an activist and travel the world, read a lot...etc etc

From what I've read and learned, I am a liberal.

False. It depends where you were educated. I have a degree in Earth Sciences, served in the US Navy as a Radioman (Top Secret Security Clearance), owned two businesses and have been an active working musician on and off for 20+ years. I consider myself quite educated. I'm still Conservative.

Um... for me personally that is false... I am moderate and I will always be moderate....

But then I was really REALLY lucky to have had government/history/political professors that didn't let their students know what side of the fence they were on...

I am a blue colar worker in my country (aus)  my parents allways taught me to vote liberal ,

They couldentscratch 2 bucks together on a good day .

My point being i have always voted liberal because they no how to run the econemy .They dont give all the money away to all the bleeding hearts ,

I think that it depends on how you're educated. Much of the "education" you are filling yourself with is governmentally controlled. So yes, if you get lots of big government influenced education, you are going to be for more government control over your life.

Some would call that brainwashing though, not education.

If you take the time to educate yourself by reading history, the Constitution (that is NOT open to interpretation) etc...]

You will discover true education, and most likely not be a liberal.

I just wanted to add...

In college, I had two very different professors that were VERY political. The first was my sociology professor. She was CONSTANTLY trying to push a liberal agenda.

The second professor, my honors English professor taught me the most that I've EVER learned in college.

He taught me to think for myself.

He would give out contrasting literature for us to read, and we would debate it. For example... We read Machiavelli's  "The Prince" one weel, and the next week we'd read Russeau's "The Social Contract".

More people should learn to think for themselves.
