    9: True

10: False (The Latin word imperator does not translate exactly into the English "emperor". It more broadly can mean commander, and was a title assumed by many Romans. While emperors were imperator, many others could be too, including any military commander. Octavian (Augustus) was the first person to assume the position of what we know as emperor. Imperator became a term closely linked with the position of emperor, but the terms princeps, Caesar, and Augustus were also used and may have had slightly different connotations at any given time in Roman history.)
