  2. Yes, it can. Homogeneous meaning the mixture has only one general texture, while heterogeneous is the opposite.

    For example, you have two types of ice cream you like. One is plain vanilla and the other is rocky road. Plain vanilla would be a homogeneous mixture, while rocky road would not, because of the chunky bits inside it. Or if you can't picture that out, try picturing a plain Cadbury Milk Chocolate Bar as compared to a Black Forest Bar. Homogeneous would be the first one, the second one heterogeneous.
