  1. True indeed.

  2. true

  3. bisexual

  4. It's true, homogeneous refers to a substance or material that contains only one kind of compound or one element whereas heterogeneous refers to a mixture that does not have uniform composition and properties throughout.  Hope this helps :)

  5. True, a substance may be heterogeneous or homogeneous.

Heterogeneous means noon-uniform or amorphous and contains a mix of different materials or a single material in different phases e.g., solid, liquid and/or gas. A mixture of fine sand swirling in water is heterogeneous. So is a mixture of oil and gas.

Homogeneous means uniform. Milk is am example, where fat and protein molecules are uniformly mixed with water and cannot be discerned separately.

Did I help you understand the difference?

BTW, "love" and "peace" are usually homogeneous ;-)

  6. who the h**l cares. i don't even know wat it means.

    sorry 3>>

  7. FALSE.

A substance is composed of the pure chemical element therefore a substance can only be HOMOGENEOUS. Being homogeneous means that something has only one phase... To simplify you can imagine that when you look at it you only see one texture/shape/composition; eg: water.

A mixture can be homo or heterogeneous. A mixture, as the name says, is more than one element combined.

BTW,  for the other answer above me: Mixtures contain more than one chemical substance

OMG GUYS, you are missing the definition of substance! Milk is not a substance!!!!! Milk is a mixture of substances! (water, fat... etc).... "A chemical substance is a material with a definite chemical composition."
