  1. The Hittite empire was far away from Egypt, but Ramses brought an army into their territory, where a battle that was more-or-less a draw was fought.

A peace treaty was signed, that gave Ramses a Hittite princess as a wife.

Ramses later had memorials carved that called him "Conqueror of the Hittites".

At least he conquered one, it seems.

  2. What..? I'm going to go with false..

  3. I think you're correct.  It's been a long time since college, but I think it was more or less a draw: they signed a pact after some really rather ferocious battles, of non aggression.

  5. True. Two successful Battles of Kadesh againsted the Hittite Empire were meaningless for Ramesses II since neither power could decisively defeat the other in battle. Consequently, in the twenty-first year of his reign (1258 BC), Ramses decided to conclude an agreement with the new Hittite king at Kadesh, Hattusili III, to end the conflict. The ensuing document is the earliest known peace treaty in world history.

  6. Absolutely True, I definitely know that Egyptians and Hittites had a major clash in the Syriac city of Al-Qadesh Or Kadesh As You May Know It, And The Would Have To Call Him Ramses The Great for a reason. And Yes Its Ramses The II If Your Wondering, Ramses Won The Battle And Went Home, But It Eventually The conflicts were finally concluded by a peace treaty in 1258 BC In A Peace.
