I remember the oil embargo back in the seventies.  Washington has been threatening to do it for the last thirty five years.  Look how far they have gotten.

OK, I'll answer your question with a question.  When we run out of oil how the heck are we going to get to mars or the moon???? Giant catapult????!!!!

I believe we are almost to the pointy where we need to take care of us in the USA, we all need to stand up and demand alternative solutions to energy. It will change our lifestyles though, how we communicate, travel, etc. We can survive this if we do it right, make a list of top priorities of energy and start at the top, home and small business for small alternative energy. Use their existing oil for major manufacturing, to produce small energy, inc. all of our small energy into one to mass produce energy to allow for manufacturing. Iran knows what is in store, every country right now is looking at the Middle East for that precious oil. I think there will be a war with Iran, not sure when but after peak oil has dropped to where people are standing on the White House doors wanting something done. Only the smartest and most productive people will be "allowed" to pursue life elsewhere. This is strictly my opinion.
