  1. False, and not that long ago.

I also consider the NAIS an attempt.

  2. try googling 'soilbank program'

  3. Is this a joke? YES! (false) They limit all kinds of stuff. Right now your drinking soda sweetened with corn syrup, why?  because the government puts a limit on the amount of sugar in the US. That's also why pop in other countries tastes better.

Gov't tries to control prices by controlling supply. Right now you can get paid to grow corn. People grow so much corn that they lose about $19 per acre due too a way too high supply. But the govt steps in and pays them each YOUR tax dollars in a corn subsidy.

Then they pay others to not grow wheat, or not raise hogs, or not grow ______. While technically the farmers could use those fields, they just are not allowed to sell what they were paid not to grow to market. They can even grow other stuff to sell. The USDA is a joke and soon you'll be paying a lot more for food.

    look at this video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNezTsrCY...

  4. Hemp and opium poppy, formerly widely grown in the US, have been totally limited!

There is some kind of federal marketing order on cranberries that limits their production tho' I don't know specifics.

  5. ever? or recently? if the question is ever than there have been efforts, I believe more specifically during FDR's New Deal
