True orginal New York hot dog?

I am not talking style but the actual dog. I know Chicago's is Vienna Beef but what is New York's offical hotdog name? Is it Sabrett's? or something else? Only New Yorkers really need to respond or if you lived there. LOL

My father has spoken about Feltman's Hot Dogs in Coney Island - they cost ten cents.  Nathan Handwerker used to work for Feltman's and opened up nearby and charged a nickel for his hot dogs - drove Feltman's out of business.  My father said he preferred Feltman's.

There is no official hot dog, although Sabrett's claims the title "official sidewalk" hot dog in NYC. Nathan's Famous IS more famous as a New York hot dog, sold far outside the city in grocery stores. Nathan's also has their annual dog eating contest televised on ESPN, so their brand is more recognized.
