Do you guys believe that while drunk, Your true self is revealed? For example a cheater in a relationship wouldn't have as many inhibitions at a party. Or something that makes someone laugh (fakely) while sober will not phase them when theyre drunk.

  1. Alcohol affects people differently. It really can bring out inhibitions in people. But for some people, it's like adding fuel to fire. I think Native Americans referred to it as "fire water". Some peoples brains go haywire after detecting alcohol. They become violent, anti-social. That's not necessarily their true self, just a reaction to the alcohol.

As for myself, I'm just happy - pleasantly reserved. Just the way I'm wired I guess. I'm not too much out of character, just more at ease with people and my surroundings. I wouldn't reveal my deepest secrets, but I'm more comfortable talking about life.

I've seen people do every imaginable thing while drunk - good and bad. A lot of crimes are revealed in bars over a few drinks. Some have a heavy heart, others are braggarts, but expose themselves nonetheless.

  2. Well my brother shows who is he really when hes drunk.

When hes sober, he keep sercets in himself.

  3. I'm more open and honest, more fun to.

I love myself sober and drunk two sides to every coin

  4. I was once given the nick-name "Nasty Randy" at a party where I was drunk if that tells you anything!

  5. Ive worked as a bartender for too long and I can honestly say it depends on the person. Some people say and do things while drunk they would never think of doing while sober... including me. I have met others who talk just because they got nothing better to do with their face at that moment... what they say means nothing to them or anyone around them. I guess just knowing someone and how they are all the time is the only true way of telling.

  6. alcohol just lowers you inhibitions. it just keeps that better judgment thing from showing up. it keeps people from thinking clearly. some people confuse this with "true self" but it isn't really.

if you can't walk straight and if you are slurring then that isn't your true self. unless that is how you are without drinking.

  7. No...when ur drunk u can pretty much laugh at anything....

U act like a different person......

  8. No. Putting On "Rose Colored Glasses" does NOT reflect who we really Are... Reality is Naturally "Sobering"-& the "sum total" of ALL parts of Our Personality...

  9. I do many things whilst drunk. There are some that i would like to do whilst sober and some that i regret. Although the regretable ones are hard to remember. All in all i reckon all sides of people come out when they're drunk, it's just the ones you remember that count!
