True survival stories?

For a school research i need to do a report on a survival. I'm not talking about a typical plane crash. But like a true story where people are somewhere for a few days and have to find own food, shelter. Like the tv series "Lost". Any true stories people know of?

one father and son survived 9 days in an icy cavern in Turkish Mountains.

Father left son for 2 days, they had frost bite and were very nearly dead. Studies showed that they would've died after 5-6 days at the most. They barely came back alive.

there are lots of stories, some plane crash, in a live volcano and a few others.
