True that, under international law, an aircraft just have to make the passenger announciations in english?

So, i.e., if Aeromexico is flying from Mexico to France, they could just make all in english under the law

    However in most countries not named the United States, they are also given in the native language.  So in France, they are also given in French and in Spain they are also given in Spanish.  The flight crew is only required to give them in English, but most do it in their native language as well.

  4. Under ICAO rules, English is the official language for air carrier communications. Although the rule does not strictly apply to communications in the cabin, over the years it has become the practice to make cabin announcements in English, as well as the native language of the air carrier's counrty.

    So, on Aeromexico, you will hear the announcements in Spanish, then English. You might also hear them repeated in French, I there's a fluet Flight Attendant on board.
