  1. I don't think it should be a problem. I started playing flute, and still do, 8 years ago, and since then have learned the clarinet, saxophone, oboe, and bassoon, each of which have different embouchures. I've recently taken up the trumpet, and still find that with a little bit of warming up on each instrument, I can still play it fine within a matter of minutes.

  2. I switched to bari sax from flute and I can play both fine.

I know a guy who plays sax but then plays mellophone for a bugle corps.

And I know a baritone player who has quite a fun time playing my bari[sax].

  3. Playing the trumpet and switching to sax could be a very different at such a young age.  I would suggest to continue with trumpet.  You are still developing your embrouchure and  there is definitely a difference between the two.  Trumpet is a pretty cool instrument as well.  Check out  some greats such as Louis Armstrong,Dizzy Gillespie,  Miles Daves, Arturo Sandoval,  Winton Marsalis, and Chris Botti.  They are some of the greats.  I personally am a large fan of Arturo Sandoval because he does an outstanding job with latin jazz.  There is a great recording of him and Dizzy Gillespie perfoming Manteca.  Listen to it.  You may find that playing trumpet has its benefits....
